School cleaning – How we get schools ready for the new school year

We are busy cleaning several local schools to ensure they’re in great condition for the return of the children in the new school year.

A clean school is important for staff, pupils and parents, as it creates a comfortable, hygienic environment for learning. It also creates a good impression for visitors and allows pupils to take pride in their environment.

Back to school cleaning – what gets cleaned?

Deep cleaning allows us to get everything ready for back to school in September. These are some of the most common areas that we clean during the summer holiday:

Carpets

Carpets can take a beating with frequent use during term time. In the holidays we have the option of using extraction cleaning which gets rid of even the most stubborn stains.

Windows

It can be difficult to clean windows when the school is in use, so the holidays are a great time to get them sparkling inside and out. We clean with pure water, rather than detergents, which keeps windows cleaner for longer.

Floors

Having access to the schools free from pupils allows us to get floors in areas like corridors, toilets and assembly halls squeaky clean.

You’d be amazed at how much dirt we get up!

Classrooms

There’s plenty to do in the classrooms. We get stuck into chewing gum removal and also ensure any upholstery is clean.

External cleaning

The outside isn’t forgotten, we make sure guttering is clear of debris ready for the autumn. We have special cameras so we can check and clear guttering from the ground.

Canteens

We use a non toxic and food safe cleaning product called Oleonix to remove grease and grime from kitchens, it also works wonders in toilets and shower blocks.
